How It Works
From application to approval in 3 clear steps:
Prepare & Submit Application
Collect your documents, sign a Power of Attorney so your licensed agent can act for you, and they’ll submit your file along with the €15,000 initial admin fee.
You then travel to Malta for biometrics, and within about six weeks you’ll get a one-year Temporary Residence Permit (renewable annually).
Approval in Principle & Investments
Your application goes through full due diligence. If you receive Approval in Principle, you have up to 8 months to complete all qualifying investments: government contribution, property purchase or rental, charitable donation, and the remaining €45,000 administrative fee. Final background checks are carried out at this stage.
Final Approval & Residency
Once everything is verified, you receive the Letter of Final Approval. You submit your final biometrics in Malta, and the agency issues your Certificate of Permanent Residence and your residency cards—each valid for five years and renewable.
